The Miracle Microdermabrasion machine was developed by Intouch Medical in 2001. We had four main objectives, it had to be simple to use, reliable, small enough to be carried and to fit on a standard trolley. Most importantly, it had to be affordable for beauty therapy clinics knowing that Microdermabrasion is a core treatment for most clinics and is able to be combined with many other treatments.
We fully support the machines providing servicing, parts, consumables and training as well as marketing material for the machine.
A few years on, with only minor aesthetic changes to the machine and over 120 units sold or on hire in New Zealand the Miracle Microdermabrasion machine has proved to be immensely popular, everything it was designed for and more.
What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion a non surgical aesthetic procedure that uses crystals to strike and exfoliate the surface of the skin. Originally developed in the early 1980’s as a further development of dermabrasion, Microdermabrasion in its truest definition is in fact “polishing of the skin”. The idea being to provide a deep exfoliation treatment and an alternative to chemical peels.
By removing the outer layers of the skin which are older, drier and in most cases dead, younger skin cells are revealed. This Exfoliation Procedure makes the skin look newer, fresher and “younger”. The appearance change is immediate and although the treatment is sometimes accompanied by minor, temporary reddening of the skin this will usually abate within a few hours, meaning that in most cases the treatment can be performed with relatively little or no downtime and is a perfect “lunchtime treatment” for busy clients who want excellent, visible but above all quick results.
Treatments can be done as a one off, however we recommend a client receives a series of 4-6 treatments followed by a series of “maintenance” treatments at monthly intervals.
What are the benefits of Microdermabrasion?
Aside from what we have covered above in relation to removing dead, dull outer layers of the skin to expose younger, fresher, healthier looking skin, there are a number of benefits to Microdermabrasion.
– Tighter skin
– Reduction in T-Zone oiliness
– Temporary pore size reduction
– Assistance in the treatment of acne
– Collagen stimulation
– Scar reduction
– Improvement in hyper-pigmentation
By receiving a series of treatments the results are improved and longer lasting with a visible reduction of fine lines and wrinkles being one of the most obvious long term results, accompanied of course by younger, fresher, healthier looking skin.
